The BAUHAUS AG is responsible for fulfilling the rights of the data subject in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR (see below on data subject rights).

BAUHAUS will forward any queries from customers or third persons concerning data protection topics to the BAUHAUS AG. Direct requests to the data protection officer remain unaffected. Purpose and Legal Basis of the Data Processing

Server-Logfiles

When visiting the page https://www.bauhaus.eu the web server automatically records this in so-called server log files. These data include browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address of the requesting computer, access date and time of the server request and the file request of the client (file name and URL). This data is used for statistical analysis and for security reasons (e.g. to clarify misuse or fraud) and to operate the website. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the operation and presentation as well as the improvement of the stability and functionality of our website.

The provision of the above-mentioned personal data by you is not required by law or contract. Without the processing of the server log files, however, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. In addition, individual services may not be available or may be restricted.

Use of Web Analysis Tools

When you visit this website, cookies are stored on your computer. Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager

On this website we use the tag management system “Dynamic Tag Manager” from Adobe. This tag management system is designed to control the use of analytics and online marketing software (in this specific case the use of MATOMO, see further details below) and to provide BAUHAUS information about the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Cookies are used for the functionality of the system.

The data processing takes place on the basis of legitimate interest accordance with Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our concrete legitimate interest here is to technically enable the use of the Matomo software.

If you do not want the cookie to be saved on your device, you can also change your settings regarding the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings.

In addition, you may also use the options listed under http://www.adobe.com/de/privacy/opt-out.html to stop the collection of data through the tools played out by the tag management system.

MATOMO

For the analysis of our website we use the web analysis software MATOMO. MATOMO uses cookies to enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by a server. We use this information only to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet usage.

In order to record and analyze the use of our website, usage information is transferred to our server at our hosting service provider and stored for analysis purposes. Your IP address is only processed in abbreviated form during this process and is thus rendered anonymous. If you wish to prevent the processing for analysis purposes, you can object to this at any time by clicking on the mouse. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie without usage data is stored in your browser, which has the consequence that MATOMO does not collect any session data.

  • Other BAUHAUS companies (https://www.bauhaus.info/gesellschaften) and their processors, if necessary, for further consultation, to conclude requested contracts or to provide other services and
  • Processors of the BAUHAUS AG for IT-services and to administer the backend of the website.

Retention Periods

We save your data for as long as the respective purpose requires and for the following tools we retain data for the following time periods:

  • Server-Logfiles: 7 days
  • MATOMO: 28 days

Data Subject Rights

Your rights as a data subject are fully guaranteed by the BAUHAUS companies.

Right to Object to Processing Activities based on Art. 6 (1) s. 1 lit. f) GDPR

Following Art. 21 (1) s. 1 GDPR you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (e) or (f) of Art. 6 (1) GDPR.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling reasons for processing that are worthy of protection and outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Further Rights

You are entitled to the following additional rights with regard to your processed personal data if the respective specific requirements are met:

  • Right of access to data, Art. 15 GDPR;
  • Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR;
  • Right to erasure, Art. 17 GDPR;
  • Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR und
  • Right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you is in breach of the GDPR.
